Renovate: Wallpapers

This year we're renovating our art deco home. After two years of dreaming and planning it's hard to believe that we're about to get started. Over the coming months, I'll share some of the bits and pieces I discover along the path to our new/old home.

First up - wallpaper. We think that one of the rooms we're building suits statement making wallpaper. As the husband and I can have taste that is anything but subtle, we've been eyeing off some bold, graphic designs.

TapetenAgentur

I'm always drawn to the repetition of shapes. So, I was like a moth to a flame when I found this caviar wallpaper by TapetenAgentur. The pattern was created from a photo taken of a window display in a Manhattan delicatessen. Who wouldn't want their wall covered in cavair and a slice of NYC?!

Flavor Paper

Inspired by the late 1960's Brazilian Tropicalla movement, Flavor Paper have collaborated with Lenny Kravitz (yes, that Lenny Kravitz!) to design a tasty range of hand-screened wall coverings. The distinctive designs in unapologetic palettes are perfectly retro-futuristic. Oh, and while you're at it, make sure you check out the incredible home of Flavor Paper.
